Installation Report

The Rotary Club of Asokoro, Abuja, Nigeria, celebrated the investiture of her 11th president  Rotarian Kanayo Chukwumezie (PHF), the inauguration of the 2011/2012 Board and induction of new members on Saturday 16th July 2011.
Rotarians, friends and family from all works of life attended the event.

Presentati​on of 450 Mama kits to Rotary Club of Asokoro, Abuja by National Primary Health Care Developmen​t Agency

The National Primary Health Care Developmen​t Agency on friday, 1st July 2011, presented the Rotary club of Asokoro with 450 Mama kits.
Representing the agency was Dr MJ Abdullahi (Director Primary Healthcare Systems Development)
He urged Rotary club of Asokoroto ensure that the kits go to those women who cannot afford it.
Also, he stressed the importance of every pregnant woman having access to the kits and appealed to journalists to disseminate more information on maternal mortality.
Citing the success recorded in Sri Lanka, he noted that the importance of still birth attendance in the fight to reduce maternal mortality, cannot be overemphasized.

He lauded the successful partnership between Rotaty club of Asokoro and thanked the Club in its entirety while urging the club not to relent in its efforts.
The Immediate past president of RCA Asokoro, Rotarian Bilikisu Liman thanked the director and promised the kits will reach the grassroot women for whom they are intended.
